Welcome to the Aspire Leaderboard! This piece will walk you through the platform in order to help you better understand the Aspire Leaderboard, our interactive, online tool that dynamically visualizes the CCM vendor landscape.
What is the Aspire Leaderboard?
The Customer Communications Management (CCM) industry is complex, particularly when you consider its transition and convergence with the Digital Customer Experience (DCX) world. The Aspire Leaderboard was born out of our passion to help companies understand the complexity and changes in the CCM industry. The Aspire Leaderboard is an interactive online tool that vizualizes the CCM industry, ranking vendors into a dynamic vendor grid, enabling end users to evaluate CCM vendors based on their individual requirements.
How does the Aspire Leaderboard work?
The team at Aspire developed a methodology where participating vendors are analyzed through a methodology based on two aspects: Capabilities, which is an indicator of the company’s solution strengths and its sales capabilities, and Vision, which focuses on their future plans for the software.
When users access the Aspire Leaderboard, they can see an overarching “Leaderboard” grid where major CCM vendors are ranked accordingly to their overall position in the market according to Aspire. Based on our analysis, companies are positioned based on the strength of their combined software and their vision. Please note that all vendors on the lower half typically have strong technology as well and often excel in their local countries or at a more defined part of the market.
One unique characteristic that sets the Aspire Leaderboard apart is the ability to filter the ranking grid according to the requirements of the buyer. The platform enables users to select vendors based on their standing across the various grids that Aspire has created.
Alongside the Overall Leader grid, there are another four sub-grids that capture the evolution of CCM. The sub-grids – Automated Document Factory (ADF), Customer Communications, Business Automation, and Omni-channel orchestration are individual grids that further highlight areas vendor capabilities. Each sub-grid has a sectioned area called “Leaders”, which highlight vendors who are considered stronger in that particular grid. Here is a description of each of the four sub-grids:
Automated Document Factory (ADF)
This grid features vendors that possess strong print management capabilities. They normally specialize in print output management, print production management, and data re-engineering.
This grid focuses on vendors that are strong in template design, content authoring, and presentation tools that support personalized communications and interactive solutions for the creation, management, and delivery of personalized, one-to-one communications.
This grid shows vendors that specialize in process automation that streamline CCM use-cases. Some of the capabilities this grid looks at are Inbound Capture, Forms, and workflow automation.
This grid highlights vendors that have strong capabilities in data orchestration across various customer touchpoints. These include vendors who excel in Journey Analytics, Customer Engagement, and Data Analytics, enabled by integration frameworks.
Aside from these grids, there are also other capability-specific grids that subscribers can look into. The Aspire Leaderboard offers premium access that allow users to filter vendors based on use-cases, which is especially helpful especially for users who do not have a technical or IT background.
In addition to the grids Leaderboard subscribers also have access to in-depth analysis of the CCM vendors through their individual Vendor Profiles. These contain a short description and the demographics of the company, as well as a video and written analysis by Aspire. Those are available for all registered users, including free users.
What users can do within the Aspire Leaderboard?
There are two types of subscription packages available for the Aspire Leaderboard:
Free Subscription – Free subscribers can access industry news and insights curated by the Aspire Leaderboard team. They can also view the Overall Leaders grid of the Leaderboard as well as the four sub-grids included.
Premium Subscription – Premium subscribers have access to additional, exclusive content and analysis provided by the Aspire Leaderboard. Alongside the Overall Leaders grid and four sub-grids, premium users are able to take advantage of more detailed filter options including use-cases. The premium subscription has been tailored to meet the needs of companies going through RFI/RFP processes, to help them gain a better understanding of the differences between vendors. A premium subscription also includes inquiry access to Aspire analysts, which is helpful if you have more detailed questions about the vendor landscape.
Developments in the coming months
As the Aspire Leaderboard gets up and running, the team plans to update the website with more content. More vendors across the CCM ecosystem are expected to be included in the online Leaderboard, which will give end users more vendor options to look at. That said, we will distribute static Leaderboard grids only once a year.
Other content such as blog posts, industry analysis, case studies, and events will also be built out further on the Aspire Leaderboard.
