Ricoh Introduces RICOH ProcessDirector 3.7 with Enhanced Output Process Management Capabilities
RICOH ProcessDirector™ is a scalable, configurable output process management system that lets you start small and grow over time. With core capabilities plus optional add-on features, RICOH ProcessDirector allows flexible control of your critical communications output. It can streamline operations, improve process integrity, enhance operator productivity, reduce errors, and help lower costs. RICOH ProcessDirector is Ricoh’s premier Automated Document Factory solution, running workflows for top enterprise and print service providers around the world.
This new release of RICOH ProcessDirector brings new features that expand its capabilities to integrate with key applications in your company as well companies with whom you do business.
• Data in transit can now be encrypted with new steps in your workflows that exchange data with other systems using the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
• TCP/IP V6 network addressing can be used between RICOH ProcessDirector and mainframe systems and AFP printers.
• Now included free with the base product, you can use a step in your workflow to collect whatever job and document properties you want, as often as you want, and retrieve them from the open-source PostgreSQL database for presentation by your own business intelligence application.
• The workflow builder user interface has been enhanced, not just with a new look, but with functions requested by our users, including the ability to work on enabled workflows and to save incomplete workflows. Workflow editing is done in a full-page window with navigation assistance to help you zoom in to find the step you want to work on.
• Most operator and administrator tasks in the base product are now available in the new GUI, which has been lauded as cleaner and more simple to use.
• Jobs containing a mixture of simplex and duplex sheets can be processed eliminating click charges for blank pages when simplex sides are inserted in duplex jobs.
